GROVE CITY —
"When does the farmers market open?" is a common question these days. Spring weather brings to mind gardening, homegrown flowers and produce.
This is the fifth year for market managers Ed and Mary Jo Palmer, and they are pleased to have many vendors return. Pasture Perfect Beef, From the Earth-Pure and Simple, Brown's Pure Maple Products, Mo's Sauce, and Willow Teas are just a few of the vendors returning again this year, Mary Jo said.
Of course, the market would not be complete without baked goods, fresh fruits and other seasonal items, honey, occasional crafters, balloons, and musical entertainment. Supporting your local farmers' market is a great way to get the freshest produce and boost your local economy. Olde Town Grove City also offers a variety of retail, restaurants, and other businesses.
The market is held from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursdays, June through October, in the Joseph D. Monteleone Youth Festival Park, on Broad Street, in downtown Grove City.
