Olde Town, GJR accepting donations for Sculpture Signage Project

Allied News

GROVE CITY — Three years ago, Olde Town Grove City and George Junior Republic formed a partnership with the goal of producing 10 sculptures in downtown Grove City by 2015. Currently, six sculptures stand on Broad and South Center streets, designating parking for incoming visitors. Every year Olde Town collects donations from Olde Town businesses and the community. “We’re thrilled with the response we’ve received from Olde Town businesses and the surrounding community,” states Façade and Design Committee Chair Tom Burdick.

Currently $500 has been raised toward the sculptures; the funds will be used to offset the costs of materials. Donations are still welcome. Those interested in contributing to the Sculpture Signage Project may contact David Mills, manager of Olde Town Grove City for more information. Checks should be made out to Olde Town Grove City and can be mailed to 118 South Center Street Grove City, PA 16127.
