GROVE CITY — The Guthrie Theatre was cash mobbed on Saturday, Dec. 21, when 16 adults and 2 kids gathered at 10:30 a.m. at the Grove City Chamber of Commerce and then proceeded to the historic Broad Street theater. The mob generated over $300 in sales, but, that wasn't all: members also were able to come up with another $250 to purchase a seat at the Guthrie as part of the Seatbacks for Greenbacks Campaign to fund the new digital projector. So over $550 was generated at this event. If you would like to participate in future cash mobs, just bring $20 and meet at the Chamber's office on N. Broad St. at 10:30 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month. The next one will be Saturday, Jan. 18. If there are at least 25 people, a $50 cash prize will be awarded to one lucky participant courtesy of Click Family Chiropractic.
